Thank you for your interest in HouseCall MD!  Below are some of the more common questions that our prospective patients ask with our answers.

  1. Q: How long does it take for the enrollment process to be completed?
    Patients can be scheduled as soon as the enrollment documents and the necessary documents (power of attorney paperwork, medication list, and copies of insurance cards) are received.

  2. Q: What services do HouseCall MD provide?
    HouseCall MD provides high quality and personalized primary care in the privacy of your home.  Each visit consists of assessment, examination, development of a plan of care and medication management and refills.

    We can order in home lab draws and imaging services such as utrasound and x-rays and coordinate durable medical equipment to maximize your overall health and quality of life.

  3. Q: Can I keep my current primary care provider if I switch to HouseCall MD?
    HouseCall MD recommends having only one primary care provider.  This is to prevent any confusion that may result from having 2 PCP’s.

  4. Q: Can I keep my specialist?
    HouseCall MD works with all specialist to provide a holistic care approach.

  5. Q: Does HouseCall MD provide Emergency or Urgent care services?
    No.  HouseCall MD does not provide urgent or emergency care services.  We ask that if it is an emergency you should call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room hospital.

  6. Q: Which hospital does HouseCall MD work with?
    HouseCall MD works with all hospitals and urgent care centers.  Hospital in patient health care team will follow you during your stay in the hospital.

  7. Q: Do you accept hospice patients?
    Yes.  We work with all the major hospice organizations and will remain your primary care provider through all the stages of the hospice process.

  8. Q: Does HouseCall MD accept all insurance companies?
    We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans, give us a call at (206) 795-8420 to check eligibility for your loved one today.

  9. Q: How often does HouseCall MD visit the patients?
    Each patient is seen as medically necessary based on your assessment and plan of care.  Depending on your medical needs, visit frequency will vary.  If you are sick and are experiencing issues, you will be seen more often, however, routinely patients are seen on average about every 4-6 weeks. We have found seeing patients routinely helps keep patients stable and out of the hospital.

  10. Q: Does HouseCall MD work with home health care agencies?
    Yes.  We order and work closely with all home health care agencies that includes registered nurses, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapist.
